Spotify Is Throwing KATSEYE’s Biggest Fans an Exclusive NYC Party Before WILD Even Drops

Three days before the world gets to hear it, a small room in New York City will already know every word of WILD.

On August 11, Spotify is hosting Klub KATSEYE, an invite-only listening event built entirely around the group’s third EP, which doesn’t officially arrive until August 14. The catch: getting in isn’t about connections or luck. It’s about numbers. The invite list is pulled from KATSEYE’s top listeners on the platform — the EYEKONS who’ve streamed the group the hardest — turning years of repeat plays into a golden ticket most fans never see coming.

The event itself sounds less like a listening session and more like walking into the album. Spotify is building out immersive, WILD-themed installations inside the venue, designed to mirror the EP’s world before a single song has technically been released. KATSEYE will close out the night with a live performance, giving the room a first, in-person preview of material the rest of the world will have to wait for. Anyone who doesn’t make the invite list isn’t shut out entirely — Spotify plans to release video from the party later in August, giving the wider fanbase a delayed but real look at what happened inside.

It’s a smart piece of timing. WILD lands as a five-track EP, growing to six for anyone who picks up the Target-exclusive edition, which adds a bonus song written and produced by member Lara Raj. The record follows “Pinky Up” and “Animal,” both released as singles ahead of the EP to build momentum, and arrives just a week before the group kicks off the Wildworld Tour — 31 shows across Europe and North America, their first true world tour.

None of this is happening in a vacuum. KATSEYE didn’t build this kind of streaming leverage by accident. The group formed through Netflix’s Pop Star Academy: KATSEYE, a development process run jointly by HYBE and Geffen Records that started with 120,000 submissions and narrowed down to the six members — Daniela, Lara, Manon, Megan, Sophia, and Yoonchae — pulled from the US, Switzerland, South Korea, and the Philippines. Their 2024 debut EP, SIS (Soft Is Strong), gave them “Touch,” a slow-building TikTok hit that turned casual listeners into a real fanbase almost overnight. By the time they hit Lollapalooza in 2025, they were playing to one of the festival’s largest early-day crowds ever.

Their second EP, Beautiful Chaos, is where the numbers started catching up to the buzz. It debuted at No. 4 on the industry’s flagship U.S. albums chart, marked the group’s first entry inside that chart’s top ten, and spent nearly a year on it. Lead single “Gnarly” became KATSEYE’s first entry on the mainstream singles chart, while “Gabriela” climbed into the top 25 and stuck around for 28 weeks. A later single, “Internet Girl,” debuted at No. 29 on its own. Add a Coachella debut and a Grammy Awards performance earlier this year, and WILD isn’t arriving as a hopeful follow-up — it’s arriving as the record a genuinely ascending group is supposed to make next.

Klub KATSEYE fits into that pattern. Streaming platforms don’t usually throw parties for EPs that aren’t proven quantities yet, and Spotify building a physical event around an unreleased project says something about where the platform thinks this one is headed. For EYEKONS lucky enough to land an invite, it’s a reward for exactly the kind of loyalty streaming platforms track down to the stream. For everyone else, it’s one more countdown to August 14, when WILD stops being a rumor in a Manhattan pop-up and becomes something the rest of the world gets to hear too.
